These Terms and Conditions cover the sale of products included on the Good Egg website. Please read through these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website and also our privacy policy regarding the collection and uses of your personal information. By placing an order with the Good Egg, you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as set out below.
Description Of Goods
The pictures we use are guidelines of what the cake will look like however shades may vary and flowers/berries/fruits may vary slightly depending on season and availability
Our cakes are made to order from fresh ingredients and once your cake leaves our premises, we are not responsible for the cake during transport or storage
Our cakes are made in an environment where nuts, egg, milk, gluten and other allergens are present. We cannot guarantee that any cake is entirely nut or gluten free although we make every effort to ensure that allergies are accommodated.
We use food colourings in some of our cakes and cupcakes which may have adverse effects on children
Stacked cakes contain dowels in each tier to provide support and these should be removed before consumption
Payment
Your debit or credit card is charged for the total amount when the order is created. The sale will be submitted for processing as soon as you click on the “confirm” button. You will then receive an email from us to confirm the sale, availability of the product, and expected average delivery date.
Payments on thegoodegg.ie are made through our secure third-party payment gateway Stripe. The Stripe payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, Stripe Payments is a leading European payment service provider, with offices in Dublin, London and Paris. The transfer of the credit card details from Hook & Ladder to Stripe is encapsulated using encryption and digitally-signed protocol to ensure that the information passed is 100% secure and tamper-proof.
We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our discretion.
Prices
All prices are in Euro (€), and are payable in Euro (€). All prices listed include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the Republic of Ireland standard rate. Due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be increased or decreased including any alterations to VAT.
Delivery
All of our cakes & Bakes are available for collection only. Please select the day and time you would like to collect your cake at the Good Egg Cafe, Unit 4b Cratloe Shopping Centre, Ballymorris, Cratloe, Co. Clare, V95 WR1X, Ireland.
We cannot take any responsibility for the cake once it leaves our premises
Care Instructions
Caring for your cake
Please collect your cake from our Cafe in Cratloe. Place your cake on the floor of the front passenger seat, the air condition should be on full prior to arrival and when you are travelling with the cake
We suggest the cake is consumed on the same day that you collect. If this is not possible, please keep your cake in a fridge overnight
Serve your cake at room temperature.
We cannot take any responsibility for the cake once it leaves our premises.
Returns & Refunds
We hope you will be happy with the cake that you have ordered however if you are unhappy, please let us know by contacting us by email thegoodeggfoodcompany@gmail.com explaining why you are unhappy. We will investigate and come back to you within 3 working days
Orders must be picked up on the date & time selected Orders that are not collected on their pick-up date are not subject to a refund.
Once ordered the collection date cannot be changed other than by agreement with the Good Egg and cakes cancelled will not receive a refund.
